Thanks to everyone who attended the 2008 BC Mountain Bike Tourism Symposium!

The response was excellent and the outcomes have provided valuable resources and momentum for communities and stakeholders around the province.

Key outcomes include:

  1. Connections with approximately 100 stakeholders from around the province.
  2. Active discussions on key issues related to the development and sustainability of mountain bike tourism opportunities (see available speaker presentations listed below).
  3. Distribution of the new mountain bike tourism development handbook and to highlight the process outlined for communities interested in tourism opportunities related to mountain biking.
  4. Awareness for the new Provincial Trails Strategy and its ongoing development.
  5. Creation of a new Mountain Bike Tourism Sector Committee to represent regions and stakeholder groups and work through the Experiences BC sector development process.
