What is the MBTA?
The Western Canada Mountain Bike Tourism Association (MBTA) was created to coordinate communities, resorts and industry partners and to pool resources in order to firstly help make mountain bike experiences sustainable at the local level and secondly more accessible to a variety of visitor markets.
What destinations does the MBTA work with?
The MBTA wishes to work with any community or resort in Western Canada (primarily the province of British Columbia due to its diverse terrain features) that wishes to promote local opportunities for mountain bike tourism.
Can an individual or a company become a member of the MBTA?
The MBTA is a stakeholder based non-profit organization. Our goal is to be representative of the mountain bike product in BC, so we'd encourage anyone who is involved (e.g. bike shops, tour company, land managers, resorts, municipalities) to become a MBTA stakeholder, which will enable the organization to tackle key issues around product development in BC and assisting communities as they develop their infrastructure and trail networks.
Please download and fill in the stakeholder registration form (Word document) and return by email to info@mbta.ca.
How can I get involved with the MBTA?
We are a non-profit organization that relies on sharing information and expanding our network of key players in this growing tourism industry sector. If you are interested in getting involved or want to find out how the MBTA can assist with your ideas for mountain bike tourism, please don't hesitate to contact us.
