A new committee is forming to represent mountain bike tourism interests in Western Canada. The focus will primarily be on British Columbia given the international reputation that BC has acquired for its broad range of mountain biking experiences available across the province. The BC Mountain Bike Tourism Symposium (Oct 26-28, 2008) was the catalyst for the committee’s formation where there was broad interest to have some form of a consortium to develop a marketing strategy to raise awareness for regional and community based mountain bike tourism products.
