Whistler presents Cycling Plan
In October, the Whistler Cycling Committee presented a cycling plan and vision for the resort community that would see cycling become a fundamental part of Whistler's identity by 2020. The public have been encouraged to give feedback on the plans that were presented at an open house on October 5th.
The committee's vision includes enhancing community life through well planned cycling facilities and programs that are promoted to both residents and visitors, offering cycling as viable transportation option and as a means to protect and honour the environmental and recreational values of the community, to support the long economic health of the resort community and to become the premiere mountain biking destination in Canada in partnership with other communities in the Sea to Sky Corridor.
